Framing

Framing is the bones of your home, consisting of a mix of dimensional and engineered lumber you’re going to want to work with your builder and material supplier to get this one right having the right framer is key here.

The importance of framing is sometimes overlooked by all the fancy finishes but having square and plumb walls will increase the productivity of every other trade leading to a better built home and making your new build or addition run silky smooth.

With the introduction of engineered floor joist, beams and roof trusses, todays modern houses are capable of having larger spans, intricate roof systems and unlimited architectural design. A huge benefit to using engineered wood products besides the strength, accuracy and performance is the sustainability of the product and its low impact on the environment.  With many different options it's crucial to work with your builder to decide what’s right for you and your build.

STICK
FRAMING

Stick framing is the traditional way to frame with walls and plates built on top of floor systems it’s a quick race to the top to get that roof installed. Some of the benefits to stick framing are that it is easy to make changes and customizations

There are also prefabricated options for your framing needs. Having your walls, floors and roof systems prefabricated off site this is a great way to build your home. These are genuinely built on time because these are often built in doors avoiding weather delays. Prefabricated options are a quality option as they are always supervised and ready to install.
